Independent Systems Engineer

Logan Lockwood

I build systems that automate the non-billable side of running an accounting practice.

The Problem

Most accounting firms spend hundreds of hours a year chasing documents, generating engagement letters, and manually tracking where every return stands. That's time that doesn't bill. It's also time that drains the partners and staff who should be doing the work that actually requires their expertise.

my background

Built On Real Systems

I have a background in operations and process automation, with experience building integrations between business systems using Python and tools like Make and SQL. I've spent time in manufacturing and have seen firsthand what happens when a business runs on disconnected spreadsheets and tribal knowledge. I'm now focused specifically on accounting firms because the operational problems are acute, measurable, and solvable.

HOW THIS STARTS

The Research Is The Work

I'm in the early stages of building an automation service specifically for accounting firms. Before I build anything, I'm spending time talking directly with firm owners and CPAs to understand how practices actually run. I wanna learn from people who've lived it.

FOR ACCOUNTS Who've felt this problem

Let's Talk

If you're an accounting firm owner or manager willing to share how your practice operates, I'd genuinely appreciate thirty minutes of your time. I'm not selling anything.
